Shut Yarl’s Wood Down!
Feminist Fightback were amongst the thousands of people (including current or former asylum seekers) who marched on Yarl’s Wood detention centre in Bedfordshire yesterday, Saturday, chanting “Shut it down!”
Rejected asylum seekers, mostly women, are locked there for indefinite periods in prison-like conditions. Especially given that it was International Women’s Day last Tuesday, the fight against Britian’s brutal immigration system is as critical as ever!
The demonstration was organised by Movement for Justice By Any Means Necessary.
