Feminist Fightback Film Club: Cathy Come Home

April 15, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Feminist Fightback Film Club is excited to be screening Ken Loach’s powerful docudrama Cathy Come Home next Friday April 15th at 7.30pm at the Common House.

50 years ago in 1966, the controversy generated by Cathy Come Home led to public outrage at the state of housing in Britain. In 2016, the situation is no better!

‘We are in real danger of returning to the days of Cathy Come Home’ warned Refuge’s chief executive Sandra Horley. With the housing crisis and the huge cuts of public funding in women’s services, homelessness is more than ever a risk for women.

Come and join us for the screening of the film from 7:30pm, followed by discussion

Donations welcome : £5 / £3
