Feminist Assembly: Lets talk about what reproductive justice means for us

November 9 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

After comming together in the streets for another year in September to oppose the christian fundamentalist and hard right anti-abortion movement, our coalition wants to broader the discussion.

Join us  for an afternoon of collective reflection, discussion and action as we explore together what the reproductive justice means for each of us.

Its not just about the right to choose; its also about the right to raise a family above the poverty line, to create a family outside of the heteropatriarchal norms, for families to stay together and to chose where they live in the face of borders and racism, to provide freedom of expression and self-direction to children and young people, and so much more.

Lets move the conversation beyond the fight for abortion rights to all the other ways reproductive justice touches our lives and intersects with all our daily struggles.

Agenda

  • 1pm Lunch
  • 2pm Reproductive justice and what it means to us
  • 3pm Learning from past feminist movements – what’s worked and what hasn’t

Everyone is welcome — whether you’ve been part of our actions before or are joining for the first time.
