Feminist Fightback Filmclub presents a Halloween Special: Gingersnaps

For this month’s film screening we will be having a Halloween themed night and showing GINGERSNAPS (2000, 1h48mins, John Fawcett). Feel free to participate in the theme.

This cult horror film is about two death-obsessed sisters, outcasts in their suburban neighbourhood, who must deal with the tragic consequences when one of them is bitten by a deadly werewolf. Is becoming a woman analogous, in some deep psychological way, to becoming a werewolf?

CONTENT WARNINGS: This is a horror film and as such will contain a lot of blood and scenes of extreme violence.
