Feminist Fightback Film Club Presents: PRIDE
PRIDE is inspired by an extraordinary true story. It’s the summer of 1984, Margaret Thatcher is in power and the National Union of Mine workers is on strike, prompting a London-based group of gay and lesbian activists to raise money to support the strikers’ families.
The film will be introduced by a member of Lesbians and Gays Support the Migrants.
Join Feminist Fightback for our monthly film screening. Exhibiting anger/ joy during the film at oppressive behaviour/ high points of struggle very much encouraged. We always have a discussion after the film, and drinks and snacks are available.
Doors open at 7pm. Suggested donation £2 unwaged/ £3 low waged/ £5 higher waged.
